Big Slick Boot Camp Home, 2012

July 15, 2012

The Boot Camp desk wrote this page to be useful to someone reading it with a stake on the line and little patience. The short version sits at the top, the reasoning sits under it, and the caveats are in the text rather than hidden in small print at the bottom. If a number matters to a decision, the page says where the number came from.

Big Slick Boot Camp was a poker training platform that offered educational programs, strategy workshops, and interactive coaching sessions designed to help players improve their skills through game theory concepts and practical exercises. The site featured professional instruction, event information, and learning resources for both aspiring and experienced poker players. For those who enjoy putting their knowledge into practice, Betum also offers a mobile live casino with real-dealer roulette, blackjack, and baccarat, providing a seamless experience on smartphones.

How much has to sit behind one buy-in

Our own convention, not a law of the game: the multiplier is the number of buy-ins we think a format needs before variance stops being the deciding factor. Treat the multiplier as judgement and the arithmetic as arithmetic.

Reserve we would want behind a buy-in
Format	Buy-in $1	Buy-in $5	Buy-in $25	Buy-in $100
Cash game ×30	$30	$150	$750	$3,000
Sit-and-go ×50	$50	$250	$1,250	$5,000
Multi-table tournament ×100	$100	$500	$2,500	$10,000

Multipliers are this desk's own; the reasoning behind sizing a stake to a bankroll is in Bankroll.
