Big Slick Boot Camp Home, 2011

October 15, 2011

This is a Boot Camp page, which means it is about the mechanics rather than the excitement. Anything presented as fact here comes from a source named on the page or in the material it draws on. Anything presented as judgement is marked as judgement. Online gambling is not legal everywhere in the United States, and nothing on this page should be read as advice to ignore the rules where you live.

How much has to sit behind one buy-in

Our own convention, not a law of the game: the multiplier is the number of buy-ins we think a format needs before variance stops being the deciding factor. Treat the multiplier as judgement and the arithmetic as arithmetic.

Reserve we would want behind a buy-in
Format	Buy-in $1	Buy-in $5	Buy-in $25	Buy-in $100
Cash game ×30	$30	$150	$750	$3,000
Sit-and-go ×50	$50	$250	$1,250	$5,000
Multi-table tournament ×100	$100	$500	$2,500	$10,000

Multipliers are this desk's own; the reasoning behind sizing a stake to a bankroll is in Bankroll.
